Surgery for Epilepsy
SINCE 2018, a team comprising neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists and a neuropsychologist has been performing life-altering surgeries for patients with multidrug resistant epilepsy in Trinidad and Tobago. More surgeries scheduled for 2024 are already in the planning stages, said neurologist Dr Avidesh Panday. What has been unfolding in this country as it pertains to the surgical treatment of epilepsy among multi-drug resistant epileptic patients can only be described as monumental.
