Headaches & Migraines

Not all headaches are migraines. In fact, most headaches seldom reflect a problem within the brain. Most headaches are associated with impairments in functionality affecting patients socially, occupationally, and recreationally. In some patients, they are quite debilitating and sometimes lead to an abuse of painkillers resulting in a second headache type known as the rebound headache.

Usually based on your symptoms and examination we group headaches into different types such as migraines, tension headaches and/or cluster headaches to name a few. In some instances, we may order further tests such as blood works and Neuroimaging modalities such as an MRI or CT scan of the Brain.

TREATMENTS

What We Offer

Not everyone requires treatment for migraines. While there are many medications available for migraines, finding the right medication will depend on multiple factors. Another treatment modality available at our clinic is that of Botox (Botulinum Toxin Treatment).
