Absolutely! Exercises such as shadow boxing, dancing, cycling have all shown benefits in patients with PD. Very often we encourage stretching as part of the treatment, specifically for patients with cramps and stiffness. While having a parent with PD may slightly increase your risk of getting PD, there are only a few genes that are directly responsible for PD making this very uncommon. There are also certain environmental triggers.
